otherwise, the contract provides that the LHN/ESPN deal doesn't change if UT joins another conference or goes independent.

what is clear is that participating in the BTN or PACN would be more complicated and require those networks to negotiate a solution with ESPN or otherwise they'd take a bit of a hit...they couldn't show Texas home games in baseball for example. It would diminish those networks if they can't show all of the in-conference matchups.
